Protection of plants from pests
Diseases and pests of plants were known to man since ancient times. In Assyrian cuneiforms and Egyptian frescoes (3rd millennium BC) the devastating raids of the desert locust are mentioned; ancient Greek and Roman writers described rust, smut, tree cancer and other diseases.
In our time, plant protection with a number of chemicals plays an important role in increasing the efficiency of agricultural activities. This is due, first of all, to the wide spread of diseases, insect pests and weeds that can cause great damage to the crop. As is known, pesticides have long ago firmly taken the position of the "main defenders" of cultures, allowing gardeners not only to collect many times more fruits and vegetables, but also to improve the quality of their gardens, prolong their life.
The main factor in the effectiveness of such drugs is proper use and high initial quality. That is why the choice of chemical protection plants should be approached with a special responsibility.
